Care Coordinators are required to complete a PCI-accredited 2-day training in health coaching and supported self-management skills.

Care Cordinators are also required to do complete two PCI e-learning programmes in:

• Personalised Care and Support Planning, and
• Shared decision making

Note: The expectation for the role of Care Coordinators is as set out in the NHS Framework. However, we recognise that the role of Care Coordinators is being used differently in different localities to accommodate local needs. We therefore make time in the training to discuss with trainees how the skills are used in the context of the individuals’ roles.
